UP HOLD Answer Up Hold helped pioneer the hardcore scene in Japan in the late 90's and into the 2000's. They were the first band that I ever met in Japan before we started JapanFiles. I was sitting in front of the Chiba Look (venue) drinking a tall Asahi when the the lead singer of Up Hold and his girlfriend introduced themselves. We started talking about Sepultura and they invited me to an after party. Eventually they joined JapanFiles and we are still great friends today. Answer is a short album but it is a great representation of old school Japanese hardcore. Up Hold kicked ass then and they still kick ass today.
