LM.C is a "New Century Electrock" unit that consists of two members: maya (vocalist) and Aiji (guitarist). LM.C is widely known for the songs called, "☆Rock the LM.C☆" and "OH MY JULIET.", as ending theme songs for the popular Japanese animation series, “RED GARDEN”.
On October 4th, 2006, their debut singles, "Trailers[Gold]" and "Trailers[Silver]" were released simultaneously and were followed with appearances on the covers of several music and other magazines. In the same year, tickets for their very first live performance, "the Release Party" at Shibuya O-EAST, completely sold out. In the summer of 2007, they were invited to perform at the "2007 FORMOZ Festival", the biggest rock festival in Taiwan. In the fall of the same year, their mini album "GLITTER LOUD BOX (oversea special edition)" was released in Europe. In February 2008, LM.C successfully finished their own concert tour in Korea and Taiwan as part of their "Club Circuit" tour.
In June 4 2008, their newest single "88" was released in Japan and first appeared on the ORICON weekly charts at #3. Also, the song was played as one of the opening theme songs for the popular Japanese anime series "Katekyo Hitman REBORN!" This was the second time they created the theme song for this anime series. The first one was "BOYS&GIRLS" from their 3rd single.
In July, they performed at Anime Expo® in Los Angeles, followed by a show at Crash Mansion (downtown Los Angeles, US). Also in July, they rocked the house completely at their first hall concert at C.C. Lemon Hall (Shibuya, Japan); the tickets were sold out in 2 minutes! Closing on July, they were again invited to perform at the "FORMOZ festival" in Taiwan as a main act for the second consecutive year. In November 2008, LM.C’s first album "SUPER GLITTER LOUD BOX" and the second album "GIMMICAL☆IMPACT!!" were released worldwide.
On November 16th, “LM.C TOUR ‘08-‘09” started as their very first WORLD TOUR. This tour includes stops in South America, Europe, and Asia for a total of 34 shows in 12 countries. The tour began in Japan in November and then the band took off around the world. There were two successful concerts at C.C. Lemon Hall on January 17th and 18th, 2009. The tickets for the Finland concert sold out completely in 2 days even though the tickets went on sale more than half a year before the concert. Their very POP and energetic live performances are just like an amusement park or an LM.C traveling carnival; lots of overseas fans have visited and played at the park everywhere during their world tour and their first world tour successfully ended in February, 2009.
